Step into an open-air barn where the scent of the garden and the surrounding wild land guide the creative process. This space is a dedicated sanctuary for those working exclusively with natural + non-toxic materials. We invite you to forage from the landscape and experiment with botanical pigments alongside a community rooted in slow, intentional craft.
We believe that regenerative art shouldn't be a solitary pursuit. We’ve designed a work trade and rental model this year to foster a community-rooted exchange: trading time, skill, and care for dedicated studio access. We are officially calling all artists working with earth-based materials to apply. Whether you are working with botanical pigments, wool, clay, branches, flowers or paper…

Your Seasonal Creative Sanctuary
Open June through November (9am – 5pm)
Our Studio Equipment & Space:
Dyeing Essentials: 3 propane and 4 electric burners, a variety of stainless steel pots of all sizes, a dedicated bathtub for dyeing, and an outdoor + indoor slop sink.
Workspace & Storage: Table space in the seasonal barn, storage bins for your materials, clothing racks, glass jars, bowls, bins and more.
Botanical Tools: Plant drying racks, stirring utensils, rubber gloves, and towels.
The Land: Access to a large grassy + forest area and wild land to forage for plant to make art with.
Additional Resources: We also provide access to some garden harvesting, specialized mordants, soaps, and a library of natural dye plants, minerals, and insects for an additional cost. Please note that our space is a true "back-to-nature" experience—we do not have Wi-Fi, heating, or laundry facilities.

2 full days of studio access in exchange for 3 hours of garden or studio work on our farm. We are open 6 months of the year : May - October
This is a work trade agreement that requires scheduling a time slot 2 weeks prior to the work session. A $15 material fee is required to reserve your spot.
Garden help covers a large variety of daily tasks and will be tailored to each applicants skill set. You may break up the hours how ever works for your schedule and take as many breaks as needed.
Some examples are: weeding, mulching, harvesting, cleaning and organizing sweeping, washing pots, dusting, stocking materials taking photos, taking inventory, labeling, picking flowers… ect.
Available for use in the Dye Lab:

* Large grassy area
* Bathtub for dyeing
