2 full days of studio access in exchange for 3 hours of garden or studio work on our farm. We are open 6 months of the year : May - October
This is a work trade agreement that requires scheduling a time slot 2 weeks prior to the work session. A $15 material fee is required to reserve your spot.
Garden help covers a large variety of daily tasks and will be tailored to each applicants skill set. You may break up the hours how ever works for your schedule and take as many breaks as needed.
Some examples are: weeding, mulching, harvesting, cleaning and organizing sweeping, washing pots, dusting, stocking materials taking photos, taking inventory, labeling, picking flowers… ect.
Available for use in the Dye Lab:
* Outdoor slop sink
* Large grassy area
* Bathtub for dyeing
* 3 propane burners
* 2 electric burners
* Table space in the seasonal barn
* A variety of stainless steel pots
* Storage bin for your materials
* Clothing racks
* Plant drying racks
* Access to land to forage dye plants
* Stirring Utensils
* Glass jars
* Rubber Gloves
* Towels
Available for use at an additional cost:
* A variety of Mordants + Soaps
* Natural Dye Plants, Minerals & Insects
* Harvesting Dye plants in the garden
What we don’t have (yet) :
* Washer & Dryer
* Wifi
* Heating
* Indoor space
