Join the community dye bath, September is Golden Yellow using Goldenrod and Marigolds foraged all around the Hudson Valley. Naturally dye a garment from your wardrobe the color of the month using seasonal local plants. Learn the basics of washing , preparing and dyeing fabric in our afternoon session. All materials except for the garment are provided, if you would like to dye 2 garments please purchase 2 tickets according to the size of your clothing item. All fabric must be natural fiber ex; cotton, bamboo, hemp, linen, rayon, silk or wool.
MAY - Mustard Yellow - Common weeds; Dandelion, chickweed, thistle, clover, ivy, oxalis, garlic scapes + more
JUNE - Olive Green - Mugwort leaves
JULY - Purple Gray - Sumac berries, leaves and stalks
AUGUST- Multi-color wild flower prints - Cosmos, Sunflower, Safflower, Hollyhocks and more
